LNG Transport Forum pioneers new ways of integration for the European LNG market

2 days of the first ever LNG Transport Forum have brought all-day internal meetings and workshops of European LNG projects and a full-day agenda encompassing three sessions; LNG as an alternative fuel in Europe, LNG applicability in emission controlled areas and transport & energy sectors: LNG synergy possibilities. The event boomed and gathered nearly 200 participants thanks to the pioneer approach to the subjects brought up at the event but also the final shape of the forum.
First day gathered LNG projects managers and stakeholders who first met and discussed internally the following projects: SeaTerminals, LNG in Baltic Sea Ports II, LNG Masterplan, GAINN4MOS. Then the representatives, stakeholders and other interested representatives from the industry networked all together to discuss the synergy possibilities between different transport sectors using LNG during a panel discussion.
The first day of the European LNG market meeting concluded with a study tour by boat through the Port of Valencia to Noatum Container Terminal, followed by a networking cocktail at the amazing and historic Clock Tower Building.
The LNG Transport Forum gathered over 30 speakers from the Baltic, Mediterranean, European and American industry. The invited experts considered the challenges in introducing LNG, current status of the LNG infrastructure in the Baltic and Mediterranean, regional gas markets and drivers and hurdles for the end users: economics, supply chain and environmental benefits. Norway-based Kanfer Shipping did a global launching at the conference, introducing its small and medium scale LNG floating terminal.
LNG Transport Forum turns out to be perfectly fill the gap in the European oil & gas market. The event contributed to taking a closer look on the Baltic and Mediterranean Sea regions synergy possibilities and hear from the leading figures.
